Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Editale OÜ ("we", "us", "MokoDo") handles personal data of people who use MokoDo — a family task management service offered through mobile apps (iOS, Android) and the web at mokodo.app.

We designed MokoDo to work on the smallest amount of data necessary to make the product useful. We do not show ads, we do not sell data to brokers, and we do not build behavioural profiles of children.

1. Who is the data controller

2. What we collect

• Account data — email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the display name those providers share with us.
• Family and usage data — the tasks you create, rewards, goals, Moko coin balances, and who in your family completed or approved what.
• Photos — when a child uploads a photo to confirm a completed task, we store it so the parent can review it. Photos are private to your family.
• Device information — device identifiers used for device-bound sign-in, app version, basic diagnostics for troubleshooting.
• Payment information — handled by our processors (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe). We receive only subscription status, never full card numbers.

3. Why we collect it

We process data to provide the service, to authenticate users, to keep each family's data isolated from others, to process subscriptions, and to comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records). Our legal bases under the GDPR are contract performance, legitimate interests in operating a safe service, and consent where specifically requested.

4. Who we share data with

We share the minimum data needed with the following service providers, all acting under our instructions:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (EU data centre).
• RevenueCat — subscription state and entitlement across platforms.
• Stripe — web payments.
• Apple App Store, Google Play — mobile app distribution and in-app purchases.
• AWS Amplify / CloudFront — hosting and content delivery for the MokoDo website.

We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics vendors that build cross-site profiles.

5. Children

MokoDo is designed to be used by families. A parent creates the family account and adds children to it. Children do not create their own accounts, do not enter personal details beyond a display name, and cannot see other families' data. There is no chat, no social feed, and no behavioural advertising. We comply with the requirements of the GDPR concerning children's data and, for users located in the United States, with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to restrict processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights email support@mokodo.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate ( www.aki.ee) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

7. Data retention

We keep account and family data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal reasons such as tax (up to 7 years under Estonian accounting law).

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on our providers' infrastructure. Access to production systems is restricted to the team members who need it. Family data is isolated at the database level so no other family can read it.

9. International transfers

Our primary database is hosted in the European Union. Some processors (for example Stripe) may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Cookies and local storage

The MokoDo website uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make a material change we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
