Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Editale OÜ ("we", "us", "MokoDo") handles personal data of people who use MokoDo — a family chores, learning, games, and rewards service offered through mobile apps (iOS, Android) and the web at mokodo.app.
MokoDo does not show third-party ads inside the product and has no public profiles, chat, or social feed. Our mobile apps do use the analytics, diagnostics, subscription, and advertising-attribution services described below.
1. Who is the data controller
Editale OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia. Registry code: 17430609. Registered office: Narva mnt 7-557, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@mokodo.app.
2. What we collect
- Account data — email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the display name those providers share with us.
- Family and usage data — the tasks you create, rewards, goals, Moko coin balances, and who in your family completed or approved what.
- Photos — when a child uploads a photo to confirm a completed task, we store it so the parent can review it. Photos are private to your family.
- Device and diagnostics data — app version, operating system, device identifiers, crash reports, performance data, push-notification tokens, and technical logs.
- Analytics and attribution data — app interactions such as onboarding, task, reward, learning, and subscription events; account role and app settings; and identifiers used to measure app installs, usage, and advertising attribution. On iOS, access to data covered by App Tracking Transparency depends on the permission you choose.
- Payment information — handled by our processors (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe). We receive only subscription status, never full card numbers.
3. Why we collect it
We process data to provide the service, to authenticate users, to keep each family's data isolated from others, to process subscriptions, to diagnose problems, to understand and improve product use, to measure app-install and advertising performance, and to comply with legal obligations such as tax records. Depending on the processing and your location, our legal bases include contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, and consent where required.
4. Who we share data with
We disclose the data needed for these purposes to the following service providers and platform partners:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting (EU data centre).
- Google Firebase — app analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics.
- Meta — app events and identifiers used for install and advertising attribution. On iOS, advertiser tracking and collection of the advertising identifier are enabled only when you authorise tracking through Apple's prompt.
- RevenueCat — subscription state and entitlement across platforms. RevenueCat may receive device identifiers and a Meta anonymous identifier for subscription attribution and may send subscription events to Meta.
- Stripe — web payments.
- Apple App Store, Google Play — mobile app distribution and in-app purchases.
- AWS Amplify / CloudFront — hosting and content delivery for the MokoDo website.
These companies process data under their own terms and privacy commitments as well as our agreements with them. We do not give them the private content of family tasks, uploaded proof photos, or rewards for advertising attribution.
5. Children
MokoDo is designed to be used by families. A parent creates the family account and adds children to it. Children do not create their own accounts, do not enter personal details beyond a display name, and cannot see other families' data. There is no chat, no social feed, or third-party advertising inside MokoDo. Parents and guardians are responsible for creating the family and supervising a child's use.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to restrict processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights email support@mokodo.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate ( www.aki.ee) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
7. Data retention
We keep account and family data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal reasons such as tax (up to 7 years under Estonian accounting law). Analytics, diagnostics, attribution, and transaction data held by our providers follows their configured retention periods and legal requirements; some records may remain in aggregated or de-identified form.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on our providers' infrastructure. Access to production systems is restricted to the team members who need it. Family data is isolated at the database level so no other family can read it.
9. International transfers
Our primary database is hosted in the European Union. Some providers, including Google, Meta, RevenueCat, Stripe, Apple, and AWS, may process data outside the EU. Where required, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Cookies and local storage
The MokoDo website uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. The public marketing website does not currently set third-party advertising or analytics cookies. The Firebase and Meta services described above run in the iOS and Android apps, not on the public marketing pages.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make a material change we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
